Entry for September 18, 2008

So during my incredibly brief lunch break when I really should be working on that 1000 word essay that’s due tonight at 6, I was reading Pioneer Woman and came across this delightful sentence.

While speaking about how she doesn’t want her young daughters to feel pressured to get married.
“I would hope the ceremony itself would be of secondary importance in their minds to what marriage is really all about, that they would regard the wedding ceremony as simply a symbolic milestone; a division between their life before and their life after—kind of like my cesarean scar, only more pleasant.”

Haha. She cracks me up.

Um. Word of warning. It’s probably now too late, because you’ve clicked on the link already, but you really shouldn’t go to that site. You will become immediately addicted and have to listen to every recorded burp and look at every photograph of a cow. Really, you have much more boring but necessary things to do.
